The "15th Five-Year Plan" period (2026-2030) will be a pivotal stage for the strategic leap in China's green development. Ecological and environmental quality is expected to achieve fundamental improvement, with the accelerated establishment of a green, low-carbon, and circular economic system. Policy support and institutional innovation are projected to reach new heights. As the inaugural year of the "15th Five-Year Plan," 2026 will also mark a year of transformative renewal for the ecological and environmental protection industry, characterized by "streamlining, transformation, and efficiency enhancement."
Leveraging the globally renowned IFAT environmental exhibition brand established by Messe München since 1966, the China Environmental Expo (IE expo China) has been deeply rooted in the Chinese market for 26 years. It has grown into the world's second-largest environmental exhibition under this brand and a highly influential professional event in China's environmental protection industry. The 27th China Environmental Expo is scheduled to take place from April 13 to 15, 2026, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
Under the theme "Connecting Global Opportunities, Exploring Emerging Momentum," this year's expo will comprehensively showcase technological innovations and transformation achievements across the entire environmental protection industry chain. It will focus on cutting-edge trends such as "intelligentization, resource utilization, efficiency enhancement, and low-carbon development," helping global environmental enterprises and related organizations seize new opportunities in green transformation, international expansion, and digital development.
Concurrently with the expo, two major industry summits—the 2026 China Environmental Technology Conference and the 2026 Carbon Neutrality and Green Development Conference—will be held, alongside over 30 thematic forums. These events will bring together leading global environmental enterprises, experts, scholars, and government representatives to delve into the policy direction of the "15th Five-Year Plan," share technological innovations and practical cases, and collectively chart the course for the industry's next phase of development.
